A Dine Around With a Twist
From November 15-18 Tourism Toronto welcomed into the city 600 meeting planners and suppliers from the Financial and Insurance Conference Planners (FICP) for their Annual Conference. To put Toronto on the map for our unique ideas and inspiration, Tourism Toronto put an unusual twist on the dine around concept as part of our sponsorship night and sent all 600 delegates out on the town with their own Toronto-branded customized $150 pre-paid VISA cards. Over 21 restaurants participated in the program which generated over $80,000 worth of dining business in one night. All remaining funds on the cards were de-loaded the following day and were given to FICP's charity of choice, Coats for Kids. Afterwards several high-value planners commended the program as one of the most innovative hosting initiatives they had seen.
