Toronto is at the top of the entertainment news around the world as TIFF and all its glamour take over from September 8 to 18. You can choose to just hang out on King Street, revel in the excitement and hope to see a movie star. You can also see some top notch films that you may never have a chance to see again.

Look up in the sky!

The Canadian International Air Show takes over the skies above Toronto from September 3 to 5. The thrills include the Breitling Jet Team, a CF-18 Hornet and our favourites, the Canadian Forces Snowbirds, flying in close formation. The show can be viewed from the Exhibition grounds on the lakeshore or better yet from a boat out in the water.

Jazz in Kensington

Scattered throughout one of the funkiest and most unique neighbourhoods in Toronto, the inaugural Kensington Market Jazz Festival, runs from September 16 to 18. Led by local jazz diva, Molly Johnson, the fest features all Toronto musicians from a range of jazz-tinged styles in 9 different venues.

All The Hockey Greats In One Tournament

The World Cup of Hockey sets a new goal for entertaining hockey fans from September 17 to October 1 at the Air Canada Centre. The best pro players from the NHL team up with their countrymen and go head-to-head to see which country really reigns supreme on the ice. There’s no better place than multicultural Toronto to experience these games whether in person, in Maple Leaf Square or in an awesome sports bar.

Change Your Mouth’s Mind

Whether you’re a vegetarian or not, the Veg Food Fest wants to show you how it’s done from September 9 to 11. Stuff yourself with workshops, lectures, fitness classes, music and panel discussions. Then sample aalll the delicious foods like mouth-watering burgers, thick and juicy hot dogs and cupcakes smothered in frosting. Set in the Harbourfront area, there’s even a Veg Out zone for when you just want to relax.
