The Sony Centre For The Performing Arts is Canada’s largest soft-seat theatre. The Sony Centre opened as the O’Keefe Centre on October 1, 1960, and has played host to a tremendous variety of international attractions and stars. The theatre, designated a historical site by the City of Toronto, recently underwent extensive renovations including restoration of the wood, brass and marble that were hallmarks of the original facility, along with audience seating and flooring upgrades, new washrooms, and re-configured lobby spaces.
Audiences are invited to celebrate the Centre in a revitalized and re-invigorated facility in downtown Toronto – a nexus of arts, culture and technologies, where everyone is welcome. Through innovative programming on the stage and the use of state-of-the art technologies throughout the venue, the Sony Centre entices and engages the community as a Theatre of the 21st Century. Group prices available for many performances.
One of the most customizable venues in Canada, the Sony Centre is a unique location for events of every style and size, offering a variety of different spaces and set-ups to meet your event objectives and exceed your guest expectations. Featuring in-house catering and client support services, consider the Sony Centre for your next event or performance.
