June 19-21, 2015. 5 events, 4 parks, 3 days, 2 kilometres, 1 giant party! Come to the Redpath Waterfront Festival and Party on the Promenade as we open Toronto’s newly revitalized waterfront.
The party starts Friday evening with DANCE Pan American Style in HTO Park. Take a dance class taught by celebrity choreographer Jean Marc Généreux. Then show off your new moves as you dance to the sounds of Swing Shift Big Band.
The entire community is invited to join us for the Waterfront Parade and celebrate the newly revitalized Queens Quay Boulevard! The parade will gather at Sherbourne Common as well as Spadina Wave Deck and meet at HTO Park to kick off the Grand Opening as the sun sets. The Opening Show features a celebrity lineup that includes Blake McGrath and Trevor Tordjman and will showcase all the festival’s weekend programming.
The party continues all weekend with entertainment along the Queens Quay Boulevard and Martin Goodman Trail. Enjoy buskers, dance demonstrations, art on the water, parades, live music, a Waterfront Artisan Market, stand up paddleboarding and more.
Head to Sugar Beach June 18-20 for a cheers to summer at the Toronto Wine & Spirit Festival with craft beer samples and wine and spirits tastings. On Sunday, June 21, Sugar Beach kicks off Toronto Pride Week with the Sweetness Pride Beach Party featuring a hot lineup of LGBTQ talent.
Bring the whole family, including the dog, to Sherbourne Common and enjoy the fastest growing canine competition in North America with the DockDogs Championships, presented by PortsToronto. New this year is Ultimutts Stunt Dog Show, where you can see amazing pups play the piano, tightrope walk and ride a bike!
Check out all that the festival offers with a free shuttle service along Queens Quay throughout the weekend, courtesy of RBC.
