Osprey Valley is a developing golf resort that contains three unique courses. The setting is casual, the vision superb. Heathlands. Hoot. Toot. The what? You heard right, Hoot and Toot. All part of a plan to bring a lighter feel to the golf industry. Heathlands is a Scottish-style course complete with pot bunkers, fescue grass, wind and self-doubt. Hoot is a wasteland-style course complete with pine and spruce treeing and bunkers that are so big a fairway bunker becomes a greenside bunker, and sometimes, the cart path. Toot is a traditional parkland style course that offers generous landing areas, difficult approach shots, penal bunkers and undulating greens. There is a magical point between the first tees of all three courses where, by travelling 50 yards north you are on a lush, manicured parkland course, 50 yards south you whisk away to coastal North Carolina or 50 yards west to the rugged windswept dunes of Scotland. This cannot be experienced anywhere else, on foot in less than one minute. Osprey Valley offers a clubhouse complete with a well-appointed pro shop, quality food and beverage service and a modern practice facility. Future plans include additional golf holes, a nearby adult lifestyle community, a wellness center and on-site rental lodging.
