Mirvish Productions owns and operates four magnificent theatres in the heart of downtown Toronto, Ontario – the Royal Alexandra, Princess of Wales, Ed Mirvish (formerly the Canon) and Panasonic.
Presenting hit musicals and plays from Broadway and London’s West End, the Mirvish theatres have been home to Disney’s The Lion King, Mamma Mia!, Wicked, Spamalot, Hugh Jackman in Concert, The Graduate, Beauty and the Beast, The Phantom of the Opera, Les Miserables, War Horse and thousands of other spectacular shows.
PRINCESS OF WALES THEATRE
This state-of-the-art theatre, located in the heart of Toronto’s Entertainment District, is designed to incorporate both traditional and contemporary elements and houses one of the largest stages in North America.
This new, technically advanced venue provides an intimate theatre experience and is a recent addition to the Mirvish group of theatres.
ROYAL ALEXANDRA THEATRE
This masterpiece of beaux-arts architecture is where the Mirvish Subscription began nearly 50 years
ago. It is the centrepiece of Toronto theatre and is the oldest continuously operating legitimate theatre in North America.
ED MIRVISH THEATRE (formerly the Canon Theatre)
This elegantly restored 1920s vaudeville and motion picture palace was designed by the world famous architect Thomas Lamb. Recently named in Ed Mirvish’s honour, it remains a landmark in North American Theatre.
