The tiger populations are threatened by habitat loss and degradation, poaching, tiger-human conflict, loss of prey and other factors. Find out how you can commit to conservation efforts to help this extremely endangered species at home and abroad.
PLUS enjoy a special meet-the-keeper talk at 1:30pm and a special training demonstration at 2:30pm at the Sumatran Tiger Exhibit.

On an Urban Capers Scavenger Hunt, you don’t collect items, but rather answers to tricky and humourous questions. Teams of two to six compete over the course of two hours. The event will offer rare insight to the unique roles the Zoo Keeper plays within your zoo. Come on out and catch a Meet-the-Keeper Talk, join us at our educational booth in the Discovery Zone to see the tools of the trade, learn about keeper conservation initiatives and participate in children’s activities.
Join us in the Waterside Theatre, daily, at 12:00 noon where you will be able to participate in a special game that mimics Zoo Keeper work. Then watch as Zoo staff compete through demonstrations and in challenges to show you what it really takes to be a keeper. Show our Zoo Keepers how much you appreciate and support them by bringing a special card to say thank you for everything they do! When you bring in a card your name will be entered into a draw for a chance to win a family pack of passes to the Zoo!
