Bowling For Rhinos

9:00am to 4:30pm, Indian Rhino Exhibit.

You’re invited to join us at the Indian Rhino Outdoor Exhibit, for Toronto Zoo’s holds it’s annual Bowling for Rhinos Event in support of rhino conservation. For a small donation you can compete against other zoo visitors in a Wii bowling tournament for a chance to win zoo-rific prizes and help to raise funds for this endangered animal. This event will not only raise much needed funds for rhino conservation but it will also serve to educate our visitors on the critical issue of poaching of rhinos for their horns.

Beaches International Jazz Festival

This year marks the 25th anniversary of Toronto’s highly anticipated Beaches International Jazz Festival, taking place July 19-28, 2013. In honour of this momentous occasion, an incredible musical line-up and exciting new activities have been planned.

The Festival unfolds each summer in the heart of the lakeside community, and is a top attraction for local residents and tourists alike. What began as a small, two-day event by president and producer Lido Chilelli in 1989 has now evolved into a massive ten-day celebration of music, with over one million people in attendance. Game On 2.0: An Exhibition

The world’s largest celebration of video games making its first Canadian appearance, Game On 2.0 features game design, development, and production including multiplayer games, handheld devices, original concept and character art, and the history’s most influential arcade machines. From Pong to Guitar Hero; the Ontario Science Centre will host Game On 2.0 which offers a hands-on exploration of video game history and culture. Visitors will experience more than 60 years of gaming entertainment and technology; from the very first commercial coin-operated game to the latest in virtual reality and 3D gaming.

Game On 2.0 tracks the development of video games from the earliest computer games to arcade-era hits and the very latest from today’s multi-billion dollar industry with more than 150 playable games from across the history of the medium – including pinball games – as well as rarely-seen consoles, controllers and collectables.

Canada’s Wonderland
