The Word on the Street

September 22, 2013: 11am to 6pm. The Word On The Street is a free festival that celebrates the written word and champions literacy through an annual outdoor book and magazine fair. We showcase Canada’s hottest new books & authors of the year, as well as the best Canadian magazines! Last year, we had over 215,000 visitors to the festival, who came to enjoy the 245 authors and presenters appearing at the festival, and to shop in our Exhibitor Marketplace featuring 275 book & magazine exhibitors — it’s the world’s biggest outdoor bookstore! 2013 marks our 24th festival, and it takes place at Queen’s Park Circle in Toronto. Centreville’s Amusing Race

Originally scheduled as the Fall Fair, this has been revised to a very exciting event called Centreville’s Amusing Race! This timed scavenger hunt will be held Saturday/Sunday September 7, 8 ,14, 15, 21, 22. 11am- 5pm.

Similar to the very popular ‘other race’ we will host a trivia and location stop around the amusement park and Far Enough Farm. All families and/or groups may participate in the race, but to be eligible to be entered for the Grand Prize all 10 tasks must be completed, which include several rides at Centreville Amusement Park.
