Cabbagetown Festival

Held 2nd weekend of September. There are so many events going on in Toronto over the summer that it can be hard to pick out which ones to carve out time for. Shoppers Drug Mart Weekend to End Women’s Cancers

Rogers Centre is thrilled to host the 2013 Shoppers Drug Mart® Weekend to End Women’s Cancers™. As the Weekend ‘base camp’, walkers will begin and end their 30- or 60-kilometre at Rogers Centre. Two- day walkers will even have the opportunity to sleep under the retractable roof.
Over the last decade, tens of thousands of women and men have taken to the streets of Toronto on the second weekend of September with their own personal determination to conquer cancer in our lifetime. Collectively, they have raised over $133 million, which has funded breakthrough research, clinical enhancements and survivorship programs at Princess Margaret Cancer Centre.

Boxing Ontario – Ontario Bronze Gloves

The 2013 Bronze Gloves is the first stage of Boxing Ontario’s Championship Series. It is the beginning of an amazing journey for these athletes. The journey beyond this event will take them to the Silver Gloves, The Provincial championships, the Nationals, the 2014 Common wealth games and consequently the 2015 Pan American Games. All this begins here at these Bronze Glove championships. Boxing is the ultimate challenge and these athletes are spending countless hours training towards this ultimate test of self-determination!
