The World League is the most prestigious annual volleyball competition. Eighteen of the best national teams from around the world compete for the title of World League Champions. This event showcases the finest volleyball players on the planet.
Egypt (12th in the world), who last participated in 2010, and Japan (19th in the world), who finished 15th in 2012, will join Pool C which consists of Canada (18th in the world), South Korea (24h in the world), Finland (30th in the world) and the Netherlands (36th in the world).

Revealing the Early Renaissance: Stories and Secrets in Florentine Art will explore how the city’s burgeoning economy of the time fostered a unique demand for artworks both religious and civic, as well as the collaborative nature of artistic production, a closer look at the workshops of artists, the stories behind the works and their subjects and insight into conservation research. Visitors will interact with the exhibition at numerous hands-on stations, offering the opportunity to explore inside the Renaissance artist’s studio, discover the pigments and tools used, hear music from a book whose pages will be reunited for the first time in over a century, view footage of Florence and see aspects of the works through the microscopes of conservators.

The new year brings a celebration of art and culture of the Inuit people of Cape Dorset (Kinngait) through three distinct exhibitions that bring into light this rich artistic community in the northern territory of Nunavut and its prolific contribution to the documentation of Inuit life and traditions that span over half a century.
These three unique exhibitions that form Exploring Cape Dorset Art are accompanied by many exhibition-related events and programs and are on display at the McMichael beginning in January and February, 2013 until June 16, 2013.
