Mozart Coronation Mass
The jubilant spirit of this Mozart Mass has made it the favourite of his many settings of this text. An all-Canadian cast of vocal soloists, chorus, and orchestra join forces for an uplifting hymn of praise. The Violin Concerto No. 5 drew its nickname from a spicy, percussive episode in the finale.
Come for: The Grammy-winning violinist Hilary Hahn is internationally celebrated for her tremendous artistry.
And more: One of Mozart’s most popular masses—it was the preferred music for royal coronations in 19th-century Vienna.
