Hamilton Children’s Choir & Young Voices Toronto
This collaborative concert brings together two of Canada’s leading children’s choirs under the direction of Zimfira Poloz, who has been the artistic director and conductor for both choirs over the past decade.
The Hamilton Children’s Choir, formed nearly 40 years ago, has participated in many festivals and competitions across Canada and in Europe, and won many top awards, including most recently the Grand Prize at the 2012 1st Xinghai International Choir Championships in China.
Young Voices Toronto (formerly High Park Choirs of Toronto) is the Children’s Choir-in-Residence at University of Toronto’s Faculty of Music. Established in 1986, the JUNO-Award-winning choir has performed at many major Canadian festivals and in 2009 toured Germany and France.
