Chantal Pontbriand is a contemporary art curator and critic. She founded PARACHUTE magazine, she was president and director of FIND, and she was appointed Head of Exhibition Research and Development at Tate Modern, London, in 2010. Presently, she is Associate Professor at the Sorbonne-Paris IV, and President-founder of PONTBRIAND W.O.R.K.S. Pontbriand will consider contemporaneity through art practices of the last two decades, a period in which global connections and concerns are growing, with a consideration of Canadian art within this context.
