The Fringe Festival

July 3 to 14, 2013 | Various venues | FringeToronto.com

TORONTO’S LARGEST THEATRE FESTIVAL

The Fringe Festival, Toronto’s largest theatre festival, is turning 25! This year will be the biggest, most spectacular, Fringe-tastic festival ever put on, featuring 148 indie shows in 35 venues, in every genre – with local, national, and international artists. There will be new plays and old favourites, experimental works and fresh hits. Dance lovers can check out eight dance productions, and families can look forward to FringeKids! shows for even the littlest Fringer. Urban adventurers and public space enthusiasts can get ready for the bigger-than-ever Site Specific Art Category, with 20 shows in venues such as a pawn shop, a laundromat, a storage unit, and the Campbell House Museum.

The outdoor Fringe Club will feature buskers, bands, visual artists, Tent Talks, and plays in tents and sheds – ALL FREE! Everyone’s favourite McAuslan Beer Tent will be back again this year with some tasty brews and a place to schmooze.
