Delivering the sounds of the world’s greatest jazz musicians from the quaint and most intimate of venues to large concert halls, the TD Toronto Jazz Festival should be part of your summer calendar.

An audience of hundreds cheer as they watch a nighttime Toronto Jazz Festival performance on the grounds outside of Roy Thomson Hall.

1,500 Musicians at 40 Locations

In its 30+ year history, the TD Toronto Jazz Festival has become known as one of North America’s premier jazz festivals. Ten days of performances at 40 locations around Toronto offer a range of styles of music and venues from funky bars to elegant halls.

New in 2017: The festival is moving to the Yorkville area and reopening the historic Concert Hall, the site of many renowned acts back in the day. Opening the festival at the Concert Hall this year is Randy Bachman with special guests Walter Trout and Laila Biali.

Musical highlights this year include The Queen of Soul, Aretha Franklin at the Sony Centre on July 1 (Canada Day!); velvety-voiced Gregory Porter at Koerner Hall on June 21; and at the intimate Jazz Bistro on June 29, Ingrid and Christine Jensen.
