One of the Top Global Food Festivals

The beautiful Fort York National Historic Site is the setting for one of the world’s finest food festivals, Taste of Toronto.

Fort York is transformed into a foodie wonderland for four days of summer eating, drinking and entertainment. The city’s latest, greatest and hottest restaurants dish up their best in an al fresco gourmet feast. Top that off with over 70 producers of the finest food, beverages and premium brands providing a bountiful food market, and you have a can’t-miss culinary festival.

2016’s Chef’s Battle sees four teams, led by top chefs participating in this year’s festival, come together to present a dish that truly captures Toronto. Held at George Brown College’s state-of-the-art kitchen facilities, each team will compete to be awarded “Best Dish,” as chosen by an esteemed judging panel. The winning creation will be served at Taste of Toronto for festival-goers to enjoy!

Operating much like a restaurant with lunch and dinner services, Taste of Toronto comprises six half-day sessions, which last four to five hours, and give guests the time to savour their pick of restaurant dishes, browse the artisan stalls and enjoy the many attractions such as the Taste Theatre, master classes and music stage, all in a lush outdoor setting.

This year’s chef line-up ranges from household names to emerging super stars. David Lee (Nota Bene), Anthony Rose (Fat Pasha) and Elia Herrera (Los Colibris) are just a few of the leading culinary masterminds in Canadian cuisine brought together by Taste of Toronto.
