Hot Docs is North America’s largest documentary festival, presenting an outstanding selection of films from Canada and around the world to Toronto audiences and international delegates. Hot Docs also mounts a full roster of conference sessions and market events and services for documentary practitioners, including the renowned Hot Docs Forum and The Doc Shop. In partnership with Blue Ice Group, Hot Docs operates the Bloor Hot Docs Cinema, a century-old landmark located in Toronto’s Annex neighbourhood.

Doc Soup (October – April)

Enjoy the world’s hottest documentaries at Doc Soup, Hot Docs’ monthly screening series at Toronto’s Bloor Cinema, from October through April. At select Doc Soup screenings guest directors will be on hand to introduce their work and answer questions from the audience.

The D’Alfonso family – Cal, Julie, and their twins Hannah and Olivia – hadn’t been on a family trip in years before they decided to come to Toronto for the festive season. Between the Cavalcade of Lights, ice skating at Nathan Phillips Square, Ripley’s Aquarium, and the Distillery District Christmas Market, the D’Alfonsos discovered plenty of fun ways to get into the holiday spirit in Toronto.
