Canada’s Walk of Fame Festival

Three days of 100% Canadian entertainment

The fifth annual Canada’s Walk of Fame Festival, presented by Tim Hortons, which covers three days of 100 per cent Canadian entertainment, will feature a stellar line-up of celebrated Canadian talent.

The only Festival of its kind, the Canada’s Walk of Fame Festival programs 100 percent Canadian entertainment from all genres (music, film, dance, comedy), ranging from emerging talent, to internationally recognized stars. Past performers include: Serena Ryder, Burton Cummings, Johnny Reid, Sarah McLachlan, Randy Bachman, Paul Anka and many more.

2014 Festival lineup

Thursday, September 18: Burton Cummings and Band, 8:00pm at Massey Hall. The rock ‘n’ roll legend and six-time JUNO Award-winner returns to kick off the Festival.

Friday, September 19: Dean Brody, 8:00pm at Massey Hall. In what will be his first appearance at Canada’s Walk of Fame Festival, Canadian country music sensation Dean Brody will delight fans with his superb ability to tell stories through his sound.

Saturday, September 20: Matthew Good and Jay Baruchel Live – Not So Private Banter, 8:00pm at Massey Hall. Audiences will be treated to some conversation, music and a little mayhem with the first-ever live show “Not So Private Banter” featuring acclaimed musician Matthew Good and Canadian comedian/actor Jay Baruchel. With no topic off the table and free reign to expose each other’s dark humour and wit, plus Matt’s supreme acoustic sound, this will be a show audiences won’t forget.

Canada’s Walk of Fame Red Carpet and Star Unveilings Ceremony: Saturday, October 18th

The 16th annual star-studded Canada’s Walk of Fame Red Carpet and Star Unveilings Ceremony, in partnership with National Premier Partner RBC, is set to take over Toronto’s Sony Centre for the Performing Arts on October 18th.

To honour the shining achievements of the 2014 Inductees, fans will gather for the Red Carpet event featuring the Inductee arrivals and the unveiling of their coveted stars, plus free musical performances by some of Canada’s up-and-coming talent. Following the Red Carpet event, the Canada’s Walk of Fame Awards will take place at the Sony Centre for the Performing Arts, and will be broadcast nationally on Global TV in the fall.
