Unfolding each summer in the heart of the lakeside neighbourhood, the celebration of music features a dynamic roster, multiple stages, a popular street fest and an enticing line-up of gourmet food trucks. And all the performances are FREE.
In 2016, the fest is expanding to three weeks and kicks off with the first-ever Beaches Jazz Salsa Festival on July 2 and 3.
In the heart of the jazz fest, Woodbine Park, an exciting line-up of performances takes place July 15 to 17 at the TD Main Stage, and at the OLG Main Stage July 22 to 24. The concerts will showcase the sensational musical talents of both established and emerging artists including JUNO Award-winning artist Melanie Durrant, Memphis-based Ghost Town Blues Band, the eclectic jazz ensemble 7Sould, and one of Toronto’s beloved salsa singers, Yani Borrell.
The much anticipated Taste of Jazz will be held at Woodbine Park on Tuesday, July 19 and Wednesday, July 20. Featuring live music and a line-up of gourmet food trucks offering a full range of culinary delights, the Taste of Jazz entices foodies and music lovers alike.
The crowd favourite StreetFest returns this year with a host of bands from Thursday, July 21 to Saturday, July 23 on street corners and rooftops along Queen Street East between Woodbine and Beech Avenues. The melodies of calypso, new age, jazz, fusion, Latin, blues and Cajun will entertain the throngs of StreetFest goers.
