Originally incorporated as the Toronto Convention and Tourist Association in 1926 with 75 members, Tourism Toronto - Toronto Convention and Visitors Association is the official destination-marketing organization for Toronto’s tourism industry. Toronto is a remarkable
destination for tourists, convention delegates, and business travellers, and Tourism Toronto’s focus is to promote and sell the city and its many unique attractions.

Originally incorporated as the Toronto Convention and Tourist Association in 1926 with 75 members, Tourism Toronto - Toronto Convention and Visitors Association is the official destination-marketing organization for Toronto's tourism industry. Toronto is a remarkable destination for tourists, convention delegates, and business travellers, and Tourism Toronto's focus is to promote and sell the city and its many unique attractions.

Tourism Toronto's mission is to be the authoritative source for Greater Toronto Region tourism knowledge. By providing unparalleled industry insight and excellent opportunities, our members and our visitors benefit from a rich destination experience.

With more than 1,000 members, Tourism Toronto is officially a not-for-profit agency funded by a destination-marketing fee (DMF) - a 3% fee charged by greater Toronto region hotels to invest in marketing member attractions and services. Tourism Toronto also has full-time sales staff in Mississauga, Markham, Ottawa, Chicago and Washington. As a partnership of public and private sectors, Tourism Toronto's dynamic partners include the City of Toronto, the Ontario Ministry of Tourism, the Canadian Tourism Commission, Mississauga Tourism, York Region, Air Canada, and VIA Rail.

Tourism Toronto's 37-member Board of Directors guides the organization with strong leadership. Board members represent a broad spectrum of Greater Toronto's tourism industry and keep the focus on Tourism Toronto's three lines of business.

Leisure Travel Trade Sales Division: A group tour planning partner with knowledgeable staff to help group and FIT tour planners with all aspects of travel planning, including itinerary development.

MC&IT Sales: The primary resource for meeting planners and convention organizers, this area includes the Toronto Leaders Circle, which forges new partnerships with business and scientific leaders to attract international congresses and meetings to Toronto.

Marketing and Communications: Toronto is showcased as a remarkable business and leisure destination through integrated consumer campaigns and strategic media and public relations.
